W.O.M.B.A.T. Crib sheet under development (commentary too!)
Hi everyone, I have been collecting bits and pieces that may be of use to people taking the W.O.M.B.A.T. It has *no* commentary, just canon and bits from reference books.

The Lexicon staff commentary is also in the works and will be posted this afternoon (I’m on Arizona time).
This is toooo fun, but my fingers are falling off from typing so much!

Ahem.. Shouldn’t this wait until after the door closes? Kinda waters it all down for those of us who took the exam without cheating.

Whoa there, you misunderstand. We’re not giving away answers! We don’t know the ‘correct’ answers any more than anyone else does. Lisa, Bel, and myself are all reference librarians. We provide resources to help people come to their decisions, and that’s what the cribsheet is and what our commentary is (which we’re working on right now, as a matter of fact.) Y’all still need to figure out how you want to answer.
Just so you know, in the commentary you’ll see that we don’t all choose the same answer!
And for pity’s sake, if you don’t want to read the commentary or the crib sheet, then don’t. No one’s forcing you.

Glad you’re enjoying it. I’ve just been writing comments on the list of wizard gadgets and artefacts. Then I’ll hand the page back to Bel for her comments. Can’t wait for you all to read it.

Is there a screenshot of the pages before the start of the exam? I’m trying to remember what JKR said about the answers requiring more than canon knowledge ….. or something like that.

Whizbang 121, I will ask Bel, but did you know that you can take the test over again? Just say that you don’t have a test number. Bel took it one time just to *try* to get “Troll.”

While a thorough knowledge of the books is essential to achieving a good grade at all levels of W.O.M.B.A.T., you will need inspiration as well as information, applying what you know, whether by deducing the correct answer or by making intelligent guesses.

No, Newstudent, the test was only available for 4 days while the Door was open. But that’s why we’ve posted the WOMBAT pages on the Lexicon! You can find links to the WOMBAT questions and Results in the other What’s New announcements on this page.
