I don`t have the book yet and I`ve ignored all the spoilers, so I have no clue what happens in the last book.
However I don`t think that Weasleys are descendants of Gryffindor. That doesn`t make any sense. Harry probably is though. His mother and other members of her family have green eyes. And so does Godric Gryffindor.
Also the perfect place where to hide Horcrux is Chamber of Secrets. It`s simply perfect. So my guess is that one of them is hidden there.
Also I really doubt that the final battle will take place at DoM. The veil doesn`t have much significance IMO.

I think that to penetrate the liquid you needed Hufflepuffs cup. To destroy the diary you needed the sword. My wife and I think that each horcrux was made to destroy the next. Like some kind of Riddle.
i heard that jk rowling was definetely going to publish a book which talked about the characters pasts. it was on the radio. is this true?

B.J., I don’t think Hufflepuff’s Cup has been found yet, and if my memory doesn’t deceive me, the diary was destroyed by the Basilisk’s fang, not the sword.
And I don’t it likely that Voldemort would create his Horcruxes thinking that each would be used to destroy the other, as I think he wouldn’t intend them to be destroyed at all

I agree, Shob. It does seem to make sense that Harry is a descendant of Godric Gryffindor, if they both have green eyes. JK Rowling did say that his green eyes would play an important role.

I think i was misunderstood. Each Horcrux was made to access the next one. To get to Slytherins locket you needed Hufflepuffs cup to drink the potion and not be affected by it. Each item was the counterpart of one another
